As far as I know, it has never been done before. Or at least, I've never seen it. Crested Gecko. com has one ecko in their collection that they would consider "Blue":
However, as you can see, it is not very blue... In the annual (2003) issue of Reptiles magazine, it showed a picture of a truly blue crested, (oviously a trick of the light). And they made no comment on this. I have searched, and I have wuestioned, and it jsut isn;t so. However... I have noticed a dramitic change in color, when cresteds (especially juvenilles) have different colors as their surrondings. For example: My first crested gecko was just the regular tanish color, however the leg sides were orangey, so I but orange material (cloth) and hechanged color. I noticed a dramatic amount of orange color increase in him. When I redid his cage however, I left out this... orange cloth. And he lost the color. So what I plan to do is get a white to cream coores crested and totally do its whole cage in BLUE. From the stubstrate to the plants, and to the wood and rocks....blue
